The basic inspiration for the styling of the letters of this font was Type E of the FHWA series of fonts and this styling was also found in kabel font. These are signage alphabet and all of them are handwritten by Dr. Theodore W. Forbes. He wrote these letters for United States Federal Highway Administration.
